The Ward family has recently acquired the JR/ Brangus herd. Below is Jess Adkins history of the herd.
We have been in the brangus cattle business since 1987. All cows are artificially inseminated by me personally. This year we have approximately 150 head of cows with these basic bloodlines from our foundation cows and sired by the very best brangus bulls that we could purchase from prominent brangus ranches. Most of our sires are out of Brinks Brangus and Camp Cooley Ranch.
Our foundation cow was from the 876 line of Plum Creek Ranch. This was an extremely fertile bloodline with the ability to pass on tremendous growth, clean body, and superior mothering ability.
Ward Ranch continues the tradition started by Dr. Adkins.
