We have been in the brangus cattle business since 1987. All cows are
artificially inseminated by me personally. This year we have approximately 50 head of
cows with these basic bloodlines from our foundation cows and sired by the very best brangus bulls that
we could purchase from prominent brangus ranches. Most of our sires are out of
Brinks Brangus and Camp Cooley Ranch.
We have two foundation cows ... PHN 256W2 and PC 876. 256W2 died at 17 years of age.
She had a calf every year since she was a two year old and lost only one
calf. It was her 15th calf and died of scours at 1 month of age.
PC 876 is the only cow left out of the 876 bloodline of Plum Creek Ranch. She is
now 8 years old and has had a natural calf weaned every year since 1999. Her only
bull calf is 876P2 and he is embryo transfer progeny. This is, in our opinion, an
extremely fertile female with ability to pass on tremendous growth and
cleanliness, and mothering ability to her offspring. Her daughters (all 7 of
them) are exceptional females.
